The Los Angeles Lakers are apart of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team moved to Los Angeles in 1960 after coming from Minneapolis. The Lakers organization has a total of 17 championships with their most recent one coming this past season in 2020. The Los Angeles Lakers are tied for the most championships in the NBA history alongside the Boston Celtics. The home arena for the Lakers is the Staples Center; this arena always plays host to another NBA team. Some of the great players in Lakers history are Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West (NBA Logo), Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant and most recently LeBron James.
